Ratfight is a rat fighting arena in the Slums of the Bazaar, run by Rosario Rootto. Four rats fight in a pit until one is left, and you can bet
on which one it will be. Rosario also buys rats. The arena is always open, but the doors to the Slums are only open during 06 - 20.

Location

The arena is in the upper levels of the Slums of the Bazaar, with the entrance door under the Flea Market sign. Its map landmark is "Rat Fights". The door is never locked.
Betting
- Talk to Rosario and choose I want to bet on a rat, then (Place Bets).
- Pick a rat by its colour: Red, Green, Yellow or Blue.
- Set your stake with the slider and confirm. Bets are in
only, up to 5 000
(or all the OC you carry, if that is less). The stake is taken right away. - About 30 seconds later, the 4 rats are released into the pit. They hunt and bite each other, and the last rat standing wins. The round ends a few seconds after the second to last rat dies.
- If your rat won, talk to Rosario again and choose I'm here to collect my winnings.
Odds and payout
- The 4 rats are the same, they only differ in colour. Each one wins about one round in 4.
- On average, you lose 3 rounds out of 4, but a win pays back 4 times your stake. So the wins make up for the losses, and the house has no edge.

- Bet once per round. Until the round starts, you can talk to Rosario and bet again, but the new bet replaces the old one and the first stake is not refunded.
- Collecting any winnings unlocks the achievement Rat Champion.
Gambling effects
Rat fight bets count as gambling, like scratchcards and pajatso machines.
- Winning satisfies your gambling need and improves your mental health.
- Winning also raises your gambling addiction by 3 × log10(1 + payout), at most 10 per win.
- Losing lowers the addiction a little (0.2 × log10(1 + stake)). If you are already addicted, it also hurts your mental health: 0.05 × stake (at most 10), times your addiction level in percent.
- How much is safe: the addiction falls by 1 per game hour, and the gambling need only hurts once it is full. If your addiction is under 58 when you stop gambling, it wears off before that happens. That is about 5 full wins in a row (a stake of 539
or more adds 10).
Selling rats
Choose I want to sell rats to open Rosario's trade window. Rosario buys only ordinary Rats (not Glowing Rats), for 6
each (150% of their 4
value), with about 400–700
to spend, refilled about once a day.
